Circumstances:
Shortly after takeoff from Soldotna, while cruising at a relative low height, the single engine aircraft collided with a private Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser registered N2587M. Both aircraft dove into the ground and crashed in a wooded area located about two miles northeast of Soldotna Airport. All six people on board the Beaver and the pilot on board the Piper were killed.
